Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct FBAs: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
  • Develop BIPs: Create individualized plans based on the findings from the FBA, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Provide Training and Support: Train and support staff members on the effective implementation of behavior intervention plans, ensuring consistent and appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor and Evaluate: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans by systematically collecting and analyzing data on student behavior.
  • Collaborate with School Personnel: Collaborate closely with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to ensure the student's unique needs are met and interventions are consistent across environments.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on the development of goals and objectives related to behavior management.

Qualifications:

  • BCBA Certification: Hold a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Education: Possess a Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Education, or Psychology.
  • Experience: Demonstrate previous experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors in a school setting.
  • Skills: Exhibit exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community agencies.
  • Knowledge: Display a strong knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to special education and behavior management in schools.
