About the Role

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Energy Evolution Practice in New England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the civil/structural aspects of electrical substation capital improvement and maintenance projects from initiation through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidiscipline transmission and distribution electrical substation project teams and serve as a civil/structural client-facing point of contact.
  • Develop/review civil/structural engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and specifications.
  • Oversee steel/aluminum structure and shallow/deep foundation design.
  • Procure major/minor civil/structural materials.
  • Monitor and project financial performance.
  • Engage in business development and client relations.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • MS in Structural Engineering a plus.
  • 3-5 years of professional civil/structural engineering experience.
  • 3+ years experience in the electrical substation area a plus.
  • Experience with RISA-3D a plus.
  • Experience with GIS Systems a plus.
  • Experience with PLS-CADD software a plus.
  • Experience with LPILE a plus.
  • Experience with Microstation software a plus.
