Job Summary

This is a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position that requires a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital efficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in the applicable state.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications for Healthcare Providers.
  • Additional certifications may be required.
