Job Title: Graphic Design Intern

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our team at Universal Processing. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including designing visual materials for our digital channels, managing assigned requests, and ensuring all visual communication is aesthetically pleasing and on-brand.

About the Role

This is a paid internship with a duration of 12 weeks. The Graphic Design Intern will work between 20-30 hours per week and receive compensation of $17 per hour. This internship may also provide opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design compelling graphics and visual materials for our digital channels using a blend of design and marketing skills.
  • Project manage assigned requests, ensuring they are delivered on time and to spec.
  • Ensure all visual communication is aesthetically pleasing and on-brand.
  • Identify needs that clients may have and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs.
  • Manage client expectations, ensure the highest quality service delivery, and solicit and act on client feedback.
Requirements
  • Creative digital portfolio demonstrating outstanding conceptual thinking and design skills.
  • Currently in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's or Master's program for Graphic Design or related discipline.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed agency or in-house team environment to develop a range of creative initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in designing interactive and static collateral.
  • Ability to understand the client's vision through active listening, advanced communication, and diplomacy with business partners, project owners, managers, and internal team members.
  • Ability to develop creative briefs, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Ability to strategize and lead ideation sessions with creative colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to initiate and successfully engage in creative ideation sessions, design sprints, and create mood and image boards.
  • Advanced technical understanding of digital media and print design in-house and with vendors.
