Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, achieving high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
  • Screen patients and staff entering zone 3 and 4 to ensure magnet safety.
  • Perform procedures proficiently, maintaining high-quality images and adhering to scanning protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, obtaining necessary clinical history and ensuring magnet safety.
  • Prepare scan rooms for procedures, discarding sharps and maintaining supplies and linen.
  • Administer contrast materials as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.
  • Implement emergency procedures as needed and perform quality control tasks to ensure standards are met.
  • Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, as needed.
Requirements
  • Certification Program - Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI; OR ARRT registered in MRI; OR ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification.
  • BLS certification.
