Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

vTech Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Saratoga, New York.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work with our team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, operating and maintaining nuclear medicine equipment, and performing imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners.
  • Perform imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET scans, and analyze results for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols related to the use of radioactive materials.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, including potential risks and benefits.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Requirements:
  • State license for NY
  • Must have NYS Nuc Med Registration
  • BLS
  • Min 1 year experience
