Compensation: $2,611.00/week

Weekly Schedule: 3x12

Role Description:
We are looking for a Travel RN with prior experience in Med Surg. This unit provides comprehensive acute care and monitoring for a diverse range of medical, surgical, and cardiac patients. The unit may also offer telemetric monitoring services.

As a Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating holistic nursing care for patients.
  • Engaging in patient and family education.
  • Providing leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and healthcare team members.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in conjunction with healthcare professionals.
  • Delivering direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgical patients.
  • Administering and documenting prescribed medications.
  • Performing tasks such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
  • Adjusting specialized medical equipment and interpreting measurements.
  • Monitoring patient vitals and reporting any adverse reactions to medications promptly.
  • Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
  • Educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-operative care.
  • Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
  • Adhering to best practices, standards, and protocols in nursing.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum Degree: Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.
  • Licensure: Current RN License issued by the Texas State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
