Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Renewable Generation Development Center of Excellence. This key role will be responsible for managing and integrating all engineering activities in support of development and construction opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Engineering Activities: Oversee the execution of engineering activities with internal and external parties to support project development and construction.
  2. Develop Engineering Strategy: Direct, plan, and coordinate the strategy of engineering in support of Repowering and other development activities.
  3. Standardize Engineering Contracts: Lead efforts to standardize key engineering contracts to support development, due diligence, and construction.
  4. Engage with Project Team: Actively engage with the project team to ensure their satisfaction with the completion of engineering activities, such as site plans, civil designs, electrical studies, suitability studies, and design reviews.
  5. Outreach and Collaboration: Conduct outreach to engineering companies and consultants to gain support for best practice and standardized scopes of work.
  6. Engineering Cost Management: Develop engineering costs and budgets to control and monitor development project engineering activities.
  7. Design and Construction Planning: Actively participate in design decisions and construction planning in support of project execution planning.
  8. Engineering Documentation: Integrate engineering documentation and issued for construction drawings into corporate systems for tracking and ongoing operations.
  9. Support Project Team: Support the project team during construction as needed, specifically when involving engineering and design issues and/or communications.
  10. Third-Party Contractor Management: Engage and manage third-party contractors with supporting engineering development activities, including project scoping, budgeting, contracting, and payments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 5+ years Engineering experience with 5+ years Power Plant, Industrial, or Manufacturing experience
  • Successful completion of FLS Selection Testing
  • Power Generation Experience
  • Professional Engineering Registration
