About the Role

Naples Periodontist is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures, adhering to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient information.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

Requirements
  • 1+ year of chairside dental assisting experience.
  • Fluent in English, with Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required under the state dental practice act.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, with regular HIPAA training required.
