Paraprofessional Assistant

Hope is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team at the Hope Learning Academy. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• Support students in a classroom setting, ensuring their Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives are met.
• Provide instruction and assistance to students, promoting independence and a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement educational programs and activities.
• Assist with data tracking and entry, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

• 19 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Hold or attain a Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.
• Valid Illinois Driver's license.
• Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an education or human services related field.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Classroom setting experience.

• $18.30/hour compensation.
