Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our imaging services department, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of our MRI services and ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the MRI department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
    • Lead and manage a team of MRI technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and image quality.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all imaging procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
    • Monitor and maintain quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal imaging performance.
  • Patient Care and Communication
    • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the imaging process.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Education and Training
    • Develop and implement educational programs for MRI technologists, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform high-quality imaging procedures.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to MRI technologists to improve their performance and patient care.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure that all imaging procedures are performed in accordance with regulatory agency standards and guidelines.
    • Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification
    • BLS Provider certification required.
    • ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
