The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program and Pre-Licensure BSN program, as well as advising nursing students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and a commitment to scholarship and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students in the FNP and Pre-Licensure BSN programs
  • Advise nursing students
  • Contribute to the accreditation process for the School of Nursing
  • Develop and evaluate curricula
  • Seek external funding for programmatic enhancements
  • Establish partnerships for the mission of the program
  • Lead evaluation of program and students' outcomes
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • FNP Certification
  • Current West Virginia Nursing License and APRN certification
  • At least three years practicing in the Advance Practice role
  • Cross-cultural communication skills, with multicultural sensitivity and experience interacting effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff
  • At least two years' experience teaching in an academic setting
