About the Role:

Hanger Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, colleagues, and referral sources.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring that they have a positive experience from the moment they contact us. Your duties will include accurately obtaining patient information, managing multiple phone lines, and maintaining accurate and complete patient files.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you are a motivated and organized individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, colleagues, and referral sources.
  • Accurately obtain patient information and manage multiple phone lines.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient files, ensuring compliance with Hanger Clinic policies.
  • Assist with patient follow-up as directed.
  • Assist with quality assurance to ensure patient satisfaction with our services.
  • Enter patient demographics and insurance verifications as appropriate.
  • Efficiently manage multiple phone lines and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Record clear, concise, and accurate written documentation.
  • File all patient charts and other documentation, following established guidelines.
  • Coordinate scheduling of practitioner schedules to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments and out-of-office calls.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Be at minimum a good fit for the role, as determined by our selection process.
  • Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
  • Experience in a receptionist position or experience with medical front office procedures preferred.
  • A minimum score of 70 on our assessment completed as part of our selection process is required.
