About the RoleThis is an outstanding opportunity to lead and grow as a Senior Clinical Director of Psychiatry. The role involves providing clinical oversight and support for psychiatric clinicians, engaging through coaching and education of new and tenured clinicians and enhancing ongoing clinician professional growth and development.
About the JobThe Regional Medical Director will provide oversight and support for psychiatric clinicians, engaging through coaching and education of new and tenured clinicians and enhancing ongoing clinician professional growth and development. The Regional Medical Director will work in a dyad partnership with VP of Operations to enhance, plan for and implement clinical strategy and related operations, including recruitment, interviewing and hiring. The Regional Medical Director ensures clinical integrity and compliance through monitoring and risk management .
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a diverse team, a track record for hiring, coaching, and retaining strong talent, and the ability to improve business processes, methods, quality, and decision-making to achieve meaningful, measurable improvements.
Clinician Education & Engagement:- Partners with Operations Leadership and other team leaders to support new clinicians through provision of clinically focused regional onboarding training, promoting caseload ramp, and engaging in new employee orientation.
- Provides, ensures and advocates for the training, education and supervision of clinical staff based upon regional needs to uphold clinical best practices, updated policies and regulations and coding quality assurance.
- Facilitates training, coaching and education as part of strengthening best practices and fostering professional growth.
- Enables regular peer consultation forums for clinicians to review patient cases and to solicit input and support from colleagues.
- Meets regularly with strong performers to solicit feedback, mentor, engage, and encourage continued professional development (e.g., educate on career progression paths, offer informational interviews)
- Provides clinical support and oversight of psychiatric clinicians in assigned region and manages APRN Directors.
