Este rol es fundamental para proporcionar supervisión de Aseguramiento de Calidad (QA) y experiencia en ciencias ambientales en asuntos técnicos y regulatorios relacionados con la implementación del Programa de Restauración Ambiental de la Marina.

Responsabilidades y deberes incluyen lo siguiente:


• Revisar, asesorar y apoyar el Programa de Restauración Ambiental.


• Trabajar en múltiples asignaciones simultáneas para diversos clientes, lo que requiere comunicaciones personales y escritas frecuentes con Gerentes de Proyectos de Remediación (RPM), contratistas y reguladores de agencias ambientales.


• Apoyar la preparación de Planes de Muestreo y Análisis (SAP) y otros documentos de planificación de contratistas y RPM. Desarrollar relaciones para facilitar el proceso de QA y optimizar los requisitos técnicos, los impulsores regulatorios y las consideraciones de costos.


• Mantener un sólido entendimiento de la Política Federal Uniforme de la EPA para Planes de Proyecto de Aseguramiento de Calidad (UFP-QAPP), así como de la Ley de Respuesta Ambiental Integral, Compensación y Responsabilidad (CERCLA) y la Ley de Conservación y Recuperación de Recursos (RCRA).


• Proporcionar experiencia en química de contaminantes emergentes y contaminantes radiactivos para ayudar a desarrollar directrices para NAVFAC y sitios de ER sobre cómo gestionar estos contaminantes en medios ambientales.

Experiencia y habilidades preferidas:

El currículum del solicitante debe demostrar al menos un año de experiencia especializada en lo siguiente:


• Interpretar y aplicar leyes, regulaciones y estándares de Aseguramiento de Calidad aplicables a proyectos de remediación o investigación;


• Revisar, asesorar y apoyar el Programa de Restauración Ambiental (o programas ambientales similares) proporcionando supervisión de Aseguramiento de Calidad en documentos técnicos y asuntos regulatorios;


• Utilizar CERCLA o RCRA para llevar a cabo investigaciones ambientales o acciones de limpieza; y


• Coordinar con una fuerza laboral diversa de profesionales ambientales en una amplia variedad de proyectos de remediación.

El candidato ideal tendrá:


• Cumplimiento con leyes y regulaciones ambientales federales, estatales y locales en múltiples medios ambientales, incluyendo aire, agua, suelo, y constituyentes radiactivos y de municiones.


• Revisar proyectos, operaciones y objetivos de calidad de datos para asegurar el cumplimiento con leyes y regulaciones ambientales, así como con los requisitos de NAVFAC.


• Gestionar programas de restauración ambiental, incluyendo planificación, programación, presupuestación, priorización y coordinación de soluciones efectivas.


• Experiencia en el Departamento de Defensa preferida, pero no requerida.
