Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the strategic sourcing, design services, and sub-consultants for new development projects. Your primary focus will be on identifying, developing, and managing strategic contractor relationships to support new construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing
- Identify and develop strategic contractor relationships to support new construction projects.
- Manage the procurement process, including the development and issuance of RFPs, bid analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Project Management
- Collaborate with project disciplines to amend and update the project procurement plan as required.
- Lead bid processes, including pre-bid meetings, bid clarification, and selection of successful bidders.
- Contract Management
- Conduct contract negotiations with assistance from Legal and interdepartmental leaders.
- Register vendors and monitor risk.
- Procurement Support
- Execute daily purchase orders in support of assigned areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Construction sectors required.
- Field experience is a strong plus, but not required.
- Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for delivering quality work and taking initiative.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively both individually and/or as part of a team.
- Ambitious to continuously gain new knowledge about the supply chain, other disciplines, the company, and the market.
- Advanced knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in international businesses or cultures.
- Must have the ability to travel a minimum of 5% of the time.
- Have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must have the ability to obtain a valid passport.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
