We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, including changing and dressing.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently using stretchers, beds, or wheelchairs.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Escort patients to holding rooms and assist with patient changing and removal of personal belongings.
- Verify patient information and orient patients and families to the environment.
- Obtain vital signs and perform other tasks as assigned by the nursing staff.
- Current Maryland CNA certification.
- CPR certification from a recognized organization.
- At least six months of experience as a PCT, patient aide, or geriatric nursing assistant, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with basic technician training.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
