Behavioral Medicine Registered Nurse

Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Older Adult Behavioral Health Unit. As a Behavioral Medicine Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals aged 60 and above with mental disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with mental health conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and record patients' conditions, administering prescribed medications and treatments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to community-based care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
