LabCorp is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team. The Clinical Specimen Coordinator will be tasked with executing clinical specimen accessioning, sample categorization, and data entry in a dynamic, high-volume setting while adhering to established protocols.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 12:00am-8:30am, rotating weekends (every 2-4 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare laboratory specimens for examination and testing
  • Unpack and distribute specimens to their designated staging areas
  • Accurately identify and label specimens
  • Package and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
  • Achieve departmental activity and production targets
  • Properly prepare and store surplus specimen samples
  • Conduct data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
  • Address and document any issues with problem specimens

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience required; 1-2 years preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical or production environment is advantageous
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong data entry and organizational abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must pass a standardized color vision test
