Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at The York Group Inc. Defunct. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing facility equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and prescribed preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate assigned equipment safely in accordance with company and OSHA safety programs and rules.
  • Perform work in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
  • Report quality and production concerns to supervisor.
  • Conduct technician-level preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Keep work environment neat and clean.
  • Conduct technician-level repairs, installations, and upgrades on assigned equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical systems and controls.
  • Perform repairs using machine shop tools and practices.
  • Monitor facility systems and take necessary corrective action.
  • Assist with training and provide input to assist other team members and other department personnel.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training and license preferred.
  • 4+ years of previous maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning).
  • Strong understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
Physical Aspects/Work Environment:

Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, and see. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
