Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to enhance the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Engage families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development.
  • Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each child, refining interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • License to practice speech pathology in the state of Colorado.
  • Preference for SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career.
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or interest in learning from our clinical teams.
  • Ability to connect and engage with young children.
