Job Responsibilities

As a Women's Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with Physical Therapists to synthesize pertinent information from patient referrals, medical records, imaging, intake forms, and subjective history taking.
  • Diagnosing movement dysfunction via functional movement, posture, and gait analysis, internal pelvic floor examinations, objective measurements, and listening to patients' concerns and goals.
  • Developing individualized plans of care for patients to include their goals and expected outcomes of the plan.
  • Utilizing evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, biofeedback, and other modalities to achieve patients' goals.
  • Evaluating and documenting patient progress, utilizing outcomes to drive results and modifying the plan of care as needed.
  • Educating patients about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
  • Following up with patients to ensure better adherence to the plan of care.
  • Connecting with providers and local organizations to increase awareness of therapies provided by the clinic and ensure that as many patients as possible who need care can receive it.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas (recent grads welcome to apply).
  • Interest in women's health and pelvic floor physical therapy.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
