About the Opportunity

CONMED Corporation is seeking a seasoned executive to lead its U.S. General Surgery business as Vice President and General Manager. This is a unique opportunity to drive growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction in a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business strategies to attract and engage top talent, serve customers, deliver new products, and capitalize on business acquisition and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with business direct reports and functional partners to develop and execute an appropriate strategy for the business.
  • Work closely with the International Leadership team to support and partner in the International General Surgery business.
  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the U.S. General Surgery market.
  • Partner with global product teams to determine and develop products that suit market needs.
Requirements
  • 15+ years commercial facing experience in the medical device industry required.
  • 10+ years senior management experience (functional leadership of a department such as R&D, marketing, Sales, or General Management) required.
  • Ability to meet with customers at hospitals and to be a member of a credentialing agency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. market, including regulatory, legal policies and environment to mitigate risk to the business.
  • Demonstrated proven track record in sales, marketing and general management across organizations which were growing and innovating.
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen to navigate, and negotiate with, key stakeholders, both internal and external, in a challenging and competitive environment.
