Job Description

A school in the Lumberton, NJ area is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as experience in developing personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Full accreditation (CCC) is preferred.
  • At least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
