At Airgas, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Counter Sales and Backup Driver. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service to walk-in and remote customers
- Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers
- Advise customers on equipment and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks they wish to perform
- Arrange for delivery of cylinders and hard-goods
- Stock and maintain showroom displays
- Drive a Class B truck delivering goods to customers when the primary driver is unavailable
- Class B CDL driver's license with Haz Mat endorsement (Hazmat can be obtained after offer)
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to routinely lift lbs., and occasionally lift lbs., with the aid of material handling equipment
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours
- Must be able to work overtime, when necessary
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
