We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory therapy department.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have an Associated Degree in Respiratory Care, current Massachusetts Board of Respiratory Care license, and Registered Respiratory Therapist certification. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
As a Respiratory Therapist at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing treatment, evaluation, and management of patients with breathing disorders or cardiovascular problems
- Administering oxygen, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, chest physical therapy, managing mechanical ventilators, and administering drugs to the lungs
- Maintaining physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes
- Educating patients and family members on various topics, including correct MDI or aerosol use, smoking cessation, and other respiratory equipment
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Associated Degree in Respiratory Care
- Current Massachusetts Board of Respiratory Care license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS Required (must be obtained within first 90 days of employment)
- PALS Required (must be obtained within first 90 days of employment)
- 1 Year experience preferred
What We Offer:
At Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, we offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
