Job Summary

American Equipment is seeking a skilled Crane Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Six Mile, SC branch. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure cranes are in good working condition
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of crane malfunctions and breakdowns
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues
  • Generate sales leads during service calls
  • Document all work performed on service reports
  • Install, assemble, and start-up new cranes
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Travel may be required, with a company-provided work vehicle
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems
  • A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
  • Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must pass a drug-screen and background check
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • Comfort with working at heights
  • Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
  • Crane maintenance experience a plus
