Job Summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Master Scheduler to join their team in East Hanover, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning and scheduling, with experience in managing complex operations and ensuring timely delivery of products.

The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in overseeing the entire scheduling operation for the company's production processes. This includes developing and implementing master schedules that align with company objectives, production capabilities, and preventative maintenance requirements.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address scheduling challenges and optimize productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement master schedules that align with company objectives, production capabilities, and preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Manage the purchasing of raw materials and components needed to manufacture assigned products, maintaining inventory levels per plant KPIs.
  • Create and maintain a valid capacity requirements plan that supports the master schedule.
  • Identify potential schedule disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate any adverse effects on production.
  • Monitor production status and ensure scheduling adherence, reporting discrepancies and variances to higher management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of all scheduling activities, changes, and outcome assessments.
  • Conduct routine analysis on production output versus the master schedule to ensure targets are being met.
  • Collaborate with supply chain team members to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Adjust schedules based on equipment downtime, workforce changes, or new production priorities.
  • Work with purchasing, quality control, customer service, and production to coordinate the disposition of discrepant materials.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counting discrepancy resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years planning/scheduling experience required, preferably in a high-volume made-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP scheduling systems and Microsoft Office products required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical to address scheduling challenges.
  • Experience in working within ISO/IATF/AS Guidelines.
  • CPIM/CSCP certification preferred.
