Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our Global Service Team in Scheifling, Austria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive service and support to our customers in North America, ensuring the efficient operation of our robotic assembly and welding systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including robot calibrations, software updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to customers on the efficient use of our equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify and implement improvements to our equipment and services.
  • Install aftermarket parts and products to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels to ensure exceptional service and support.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 75% of the year) to provide on-site support and training.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in installation and servicing of high-value industrial machinery.
  • Strong software, electrical, and mechanical skills, with knowledge of robotic welding equipment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to travel and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.
Work Environment

The Service Technician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and airborne particles. The noise level is moderate, and the employee will be required to stand, walk, and use hands to perform tasks.

Physical Demands

The Service Technician will be required to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 60 pounds, and will need to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs of force.
