Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents with a wide range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' vital signs and take corrective action when necessary.
- Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings and report any observed changes.
- Perform tasks such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators.
- Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Assist with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, external ventricular drains, Foleys, epidural catheters, and endotracheal tubes.
- BLS certification
- 3 years of experience in pediatric intensive care
As a PICU Travel Nurse, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should also be able to easily lift 10-20 pounds of equipment at times. Additionally, you may be exposed to hazards from chemicals and infectious diseases.
