Batch Plant Operator

About the Role

The Batch Plant Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete products. This position requires a strong understanding of concrete fundamentals and the ability to operate complex machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Mixer Machine and Batch Plant (Command Alkon) to produce high-quality concrete products
  • Use overhead crane to pour concrete with precision and accuracy
  • Notify supervisor of non-conforming product or problems with machine, materials, etc.
  • Communicate production issues with other employees and supervisors to ensure seamless operations
  • Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance, ensuring it meets quality requirements
  • Perform routine machine maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

  • Knowledge of concrete fundamentals, preferred
  • Concrete finishing experience, preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience running a batch plant, preferred
  • Experience operating Command Alkon, preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
