Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sexual and Gender Health

The Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking highly qualified postdoctoral fellows to join a vibrant team of faculty and researchers for a two-year program beginning Fall 2024. The fellowship offers opportunities for either a clinical/research or clinical focus in one of three areas: relationship and sex therapy, compulsive sexual behavior, and transgender health.
Fellows will have the opportunity to develop their skills in addressing sexual and gender issues in any clinical setting, working with a diverse group of patients, including children, adolescents, minorities, disabled individuals, and clients with chronic medical or mental health problems.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy for a wide range of sexual issues
- Conduct research projects under faculty supervision, with the goal of presenting results at scientific conferences and preparing articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Develop the capacity to write grant applications to support scholarly work
- Engage in teaching through educational programming
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or Family/Couples Therapy
Interest in and/or experience with sexual and/or gender-related therapy
