Job Summary

La Clinica de La Raza is seeking a skilled Health Educator III to join our team in the Preventive Medicine section of the Health Education Department. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Public Health with a specialization in Health Education and at least two years of experience working in health education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate projects and health promoter-related programs
  • Provide primary health education classes on topics such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, smoking cessation, and weight management
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of special projects and grants related to chronic disease prevention, health education, and research grants
  • Facilitate regular team meetings with multidisciplinary staff and communicate with providers and patients
  • Monitor and evaluate projects, conduct chart reviews, and oversee data collection
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Health with a specialization in Health Education
  • At least two years of experience working in health education
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and materials used in health education
  • Experience in program evaluation design, implementation, and oversight
