Job Description

As a Bilingual Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our end-to-end donation process. This includes championing our en Espanol initiative, communicating with donors, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and executing Center Physician standing orders.
  • Manage donor deferral, reviewing test results and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.
  • Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI), referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
  • Assist the EHS program, conducting pre-placement evaluations, supporting vaccination programs, and maintaining employee medical records.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be assigned: Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN).
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification required.
  • Ability to fluently and proficiently speak and read in both English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
