Janitorial Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

• Clean and sanitize the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area to ensure a high level of food safety and quality.
• Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations.
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently to perform maintenance and janitorial duties.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our facilities goals and objectives.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
