This is a full-time contract position with a guaranteed number of hours per week and competitive hourly rates. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality services to students with communication needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students using evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address student communication needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, using a variety of approaches and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and promote student success.
  • Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans that meet student needs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active Texas SLP licensure.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous school-based experience is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
