We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at 4 East (Pediatrics). As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided to patients throughout the health system.
- Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and healthcare team members while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Safely and accurately administer medications within the scope of RN practice.
- Formulate nursing care plans and assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of equipment and procedures/treatments used in pediatric and med/surg patient care.
- Document and communicate pertinent information regarding patient condition.
- Engage family in care plans when working with pediatric patients.
- Monitor and ensure accurate and timely completion of physician orders.
- Provide direction and supervision to LPNs, POCTs, and other ancillary staff.
- Current R.N. licensure for Ohio and maintenance.
- Current CPR card and maintenance.
- Obtain PALS within 1 year.
- Obtain/maintain ECG rhythm recognition.
- Work independently.
