We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Deputy Sheriffs in the Detention Services Division. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and upholding the law in Las Vegas.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of law enforcement and technical duties to support the service and enforcement of civil process.
- Enforce laws, ordinances, and regulations related to civil process.
- Interact with the public, respond to calls for service, and conduct investigations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents and activities.
- Possess a valid Nevada Peace Officer Standards Training (P.O.S.T.) Category II Certification.
- Have three years of full-time experience in general law enforcement or civil process.
- Be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a thorough background investigation, including a polygraph exam.
As a Deputy Sheriff with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
