Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Imaging and Radiopharmaceutical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can utilize your expertise in imaging and radiopharmaceuticals to make a meaningful impact.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and performing diagnostic medical imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and medical imaging equipment. You will adhere to professional and departmental protocols to provide accurate images for diagnosis and treatment planning. Key Responsibilities:
- Meet the expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Adhere to standards for radiation safety and waste disposal by performing specific tasks mandated by Federal, State, and Hospital policies.
- Document daily calibrations, flood films, dose calibrator accuracy checks, hot lab area surveys, dispensed pharmaceuticals, and radioactive source disposal.
- Practice safe handling of radio nuclides and radiation safety procedures at all times.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established procedures.
- Perform periodic quality control tests, documenting according to Hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate adherence to the CORE Values of CHRISTUS Health.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one year's experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required.
- Two years' experience in a clinical Radiology setting preferred.
- Current State Licensure required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
- Registration by one of the credentialing bodies for Nuclear Medicine Technologists required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) (N) Required; Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) Required.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
