Job Description:
The Thermal-Hydraulic Test Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and execution of testing requirements for our SMR-300 small modular reactor project. This position is located at our Idaho Falls, ID facility and will require up to 50% travel to site for approximately month-long periods. As a member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless testing operations and develop an understanding of test facilities based on existing process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Thermal-Hydraulic Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal-hydraulics, test requirements development, and quality assurance. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing test requirements and procedures, preparing technical documents related to testing, and witnessing testing on-site. Additionally, you will provide technical support for problem-solving and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review test requirements and procedures.
  • Prepare technical documents related to testing, including specifications and reports.
  • Witness testing on-site and approve test commencement and completion.
  • Provide technical support for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless testing operations.

Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in laboratory experimentation and data processing.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar data processing software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to work under 10 CFR Part 810.

Salary Range:
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
