Key ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all unit operations during their shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, assesses, and evaluates nursing care in line with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Duties Include:
- Facilitating admission and discharge processes to ensure effective patient flow and high-quality care.
- Engaging in the continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Working with experts and managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
- Emphasizing a patient-centered approach and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
- Supporting facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
- Providing input on hiring, training, and staff development, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Assisting with staff scheduling and managing labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
- Overseeing inventory management and assisting with supply and equipment management.
- Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, or a multi-state privilege granted by a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program required within the first two years of employment, with completion within five years.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills within the specialty area are essential.
- Preferred: Two years of experience as a Charge Nurse in the relevant specialty.
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift (12-hour shifts)
