Traveling Territory Class B CDL Driver

Job Summary:

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Territory Class B Driver to provide primary route coverage for the assigned District as well as other Districts as needed to support vacation, sick time, and turnover. This position will operate Class B Tanker Truck, Box Trucks and or Lube Delivery Truck and travel up to 3 weeks out of the month on average with 1 week home.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health and Safety: Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Operate Commercial Trucks: Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps).
  • Operate Class B Trucks: Operate a variety of Class B trucks.
  • Loading and Unloading: Loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Backup Driver: Will serve as backup driver to cover routes when needed across the region.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
  • Placarding: Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
  • Logistics: Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
  • Compliance: Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements.
  • Corporate Guidelines: Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
  • Environmental Health and Safety: Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned.
  • On-Call: By position, ability to be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other week.
  • Site Remediation: By position, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials.
