About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Retention Account Associate to join our team at WM. As a key member of our commercial sales team, you will be responsible for generating shareholder value by using a consultative retention-based selling approach for Small/Medium commercial WM customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sound retention strategies to achieve budgeted retention goals.
  • Utilize strong negotiation efforts to preserve business and secure updated contract agreements with WM customers.
  • Grow revenues from existing customers by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Manage existing business relationships to maintain a net positive business performance in the commercial space.
  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager to resolve customer escalations and issues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
  • One (1) year of business-to-business account management experience at a proficient level.
  • Ability to effectively convert customer cancellation requests into long-term relationships.
  • Ability to build relationships across a wide variety of business types.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform computer duties across multiple screens while on the phone with customers.
