Rady Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Travel Nurse RN.

This 8-week travel nursing assignment offers a competitive salary, with an estimated total compensation of $5,800 per week. The schedule consists of 48 hours per week, with variable or straight night shifts available. The nurse will work in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, caring for patients with post-operative cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, and complex congenital heart disease.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in CVPICU/CTICU, be pediatrics cardiac trained, and have heart transplant experience. Additionally, they should be willing to float between units, including PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, and medical behavioral units. Ventilator management, multiple monitor skills, and EKG interpretation are essential for this role. The successful candidate will also need to obtain a flu shot and provide a valid photo ID upon arrival.

The benefits of this assignment include self-scheduling, a ratio of 1:1-2, and a maximum of 3 days off per week. Weekend requirements include six weekend shifts per four-week schedule, with flexibility for both day and night shifts. The hospital provides orientation information prior to the start date, which includes required documentation such as professional licenses, certifications, and a driver's license.
