Job Title: Casing Driller

GeoStabilization International is seeking a highly skilled Casing Driller to join our team. As a key member of our frontline crew, you will be responsible for drilling holes, monitoring their condition, and leading crews in the operation and care of drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform essential maintenance tasks, including greasing, to ensure optimal functionality of drilling equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to facilitate collaboration and maintenance requirements.
  • Utilize knowledge of drill upkeep and preventive maintenance procedures to enhance equipment longevity and cleanliness.
  • Accurately document drill logs and maintain as-builts for comprehensive project documentation.
  • Regularly communicate with Superintendents to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Work in loud environments and maintain required safety PPE.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of geotechnical experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to hit daily production targets.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to travel extensively, up to three weeks on duty at a time.
  • Proficiency in welding.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and engage in strenuous physical labor.
  • Vast knowledge of different types of tooling and drilling techniques.
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.

Work Environment:

  • Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate, with hearing protection often required.
  • Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  • Heavy lifting (50lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.

Compensation:

Hourly range: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour.
