The Chair of Emergency Medicine at UC Davis School of Medicine is responsible for overseeing the department's operations, optimizing quality of care and efficiency, collaborating closely with Clinical Operations leadership to ensure effective patient flow.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead the development of key institutional partnerships and strategic relationships, define and pursue interdisciplinary clinical and research goals that align with the SOM's and health system's strategic goals.
Required Qualifications- An M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degrees from an accredited institution with board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Eligible for licensure in California.
- Candidates must possess qualifications for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level at UC Davis School of Medicine.
The ideal candidate will have a balanced commitment to the clinical, educational, and research missions and a proven effectiveness in building and maintaining a strong rapport with the leadership of a clinical enterprise across an integrated health system and its community hospitals and practice partners.
