Industrial Porter

Northern Haserot, a leading independent food-service distributor since 1878, is seeking an Industrial Porter to join their sanitation team. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for employees and ensuring compliance with FDA/ODA standards.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (based on location and experience)

Responsibilities:

• Sweep aisles and walkways to maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Clean spills promptly to prevent accidents and damage
• Recoup damages and maintain the facility's overall cleanliness
• Operate single-ride pallet jacks to transport goods safely
• Empty trash and recyclables regularly
• Operate trash compactors to reduce waste
• Wipe down guard rails and other high-touch areas

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
• Capacity to twist and stoop multiple times during shifts
• Strength to lift up to 75 pounds safely
• Able to work in various temperature zones (Dry Goods, Cooler, Freezer)
