Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of our care team at Aperion Care Forest Park. As a CNA, you will provide exceptional resident care and support in all activities of daily living, ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Mealtime Support: Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding, ensuring residents receive nourishment and hydration.
  • Mobility and Transfer Assistance: Help residents with ambulating, turning, and positioning to prevent falls and promote comfort.
  • Health Monitoring: Check vital signs and weight, recording intake and output information to ensure resident stability.
  • Comfort and Dignity: Utilize resources and materials to promote resident comfort, answer call lights, and report observations to the nursing supervisor.
  • Documentation: Complete forms, reports, logs, and records to maintain accurate resident information.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Protect resident privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
  • Professional Development: Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and maintain licensure to stay current in the field.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, bending, and walking regularly, lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication is required.
