The Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a dedicated Cardiologist specializing in Inpatient and Academic Practice. This role is integral to our mission of providing exceptional cardiovascular care and advancing medical research.
About the Opportunity:
As a leading institution in cardiovascular disease management, you will be part of a dynamic team at one of the largest academic hospitals in the Northeast. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the inpatient cardiology consult service, collaborating with clinical faculty and referring physicians.
- Conducting evaluations for new admissions and providing comprehensive in-hospital care and follow-up for patients with cardiac conditions.
- Ensuring continuity of care for both general cardiology patients and those with complex cardiac needs.
- Engaging in clinical research and educational activities with fellows and the cardiology team.
- Collaborating with a diverse team of Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers and specialists across various subspecialties.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine and Echocardiography.
- Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure.
- Preferred proficiency in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, along with nuclear cardiology certification.
