Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Dispensing: Compound and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies to inpatients and outpatients upon receiving written prescription orders.
  • Supervision: Assume responsibility for supervision of pharmacy operations in the absence of the Director or Technician Supervisor.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with the control of ordering, receiving, and storage of all pharmaceuticals within the department and the hospital.
  • Education and Monitoring: Educate patients on the use of their medications and monitor medication administration through profile reviews.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, PharmD. preferred.
  • Licensure and Registration: WV Board of Pharmacy Licensure and registration required.
  • Experience: One year of position-related experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent/prolonged sitting, occasional walking and standing.
